4 Hurt In Brookfield Crash; Firefighters Cut 2 Victims From Mangled Wreckage

Connecticut firefighters had to cut two people from a vehicle that crashed over the weekend with four people being hospitalized in the Fairfield County wreck, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, near 119 Junction Road in Brookfield, fire officials said. 

A passenger was partially ejected through the windshield and was laying on top of the driver, Brookfield firefighters said, and rescue crews had to cut the top off of the vehicle to get them out safely.

It took about 50 minutes to extricate them from the mangled wreckage and rush them and two others to Danbury Hospital.

Authorities did not release any information on the victims or what caused the crash. No update was immediately available on their conditions.
